The ISA Level Two Surf Coach Award is designed for coaches focused on developmental coaching, advancing surfers from "learn to surf" programs to higher performance levels. This course provides tools and knowledge on holistic development, competitive surfing, and advanced techniques. Earning this certification can open doors to coaching at a more advanced level.

The Level Two Surf Coach Course runs over 3- 4 days, depending on the schedule, and includes a variety of practical and theoretical modules.
After the course, candidates are required to complete 40 hours of coaching practice with novice or developmental surfers.
A coaching work scheme must be maintained during this practice period, and an online exam will be completed afterward.
To qualify for the ISA Level Two Surf Coach Award, candidates must already hold an ISA Level One Surf Coach certification (or equivalent) and a recognized Lifesaving/Ocean Rescue Award.
The course fee includes ISA membership for the first year. After that, a yearly fee of $100 USD is required to maintain certification, along with a valid water rescue qualification.
